In terms of rule 3(2) of the Rules of Business, 1973, the Prime Minister has been pleased to order the re-organization of the following Ministries/Divisions, in the manner as given below:
- Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has been abolished and merged with Ministry of Law and Justice which has been renamed as Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs consisting of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division.
- Ministry of Planning and Development has been abolished. Planning and Development Division will now form part of Ministry of Finance and Revenue which has been renamed as Ministry of Finance, Revenue, and Planning and Development. The Ministry will thus consist of Finance Division, Revenue Division and Planning and Development Division.
- Ministry of Investment consisting of Investment Division has been abolished. The Board of Investment has been placed under the administrative control of Prime Minister's Secretariat (Public).
